INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR HUMAN RIGHTS: An organization to study the practice of human rights.
The objectives of the organization are to perform research in the following areas of the human rights:
(1) Democracy and multi-party political system, separation of power, fair election, freedom of speech and press, access to justice system, etc.
(2) Economic policy to achieve the economic and environmental justice for a sustainable democratic society. Reduce poverty and income gaps between rich and poor. Trade policy favoring poor countries.
(3) Increase awareness to eliminate human trafficking and modern-day slavery, stop abuse of children, eradicate physical/sexual exploitation of human, provide immigrants' rights, ensure fair labor policy, etc.
Currently, we are working on two reports: (1) Democracy in Bangladesh (2) The Economics of Human Trafficking.
We are in the initial stage of setting up the Center.
